About David A. Gordon, MS, MDiv, LPC
Move beyond simply getting through the day.
I’m a Pennsylvania Licensed Professional Counselor who helps adults and teens ages 14 and older navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and questions of meaning or faith.
Change takes effort. You don’t have to face it alone.
My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. Together, we’ll understand what is keeping you stuck, recognize patterns that no longer serve you, and find practical ways to move toward what matters most.
You’re here because something needs to change.
Maybe anxiety keeps you on edge, depression has left you feeling disconnected, or a major transition has made life feel uncertain. You may appear capable on the outside while privately feeling stuck, dissatisfied, or unsure of what comes next.
Therapy offers space to slow down, understand what lies beneath the surface, and find a different way forward. We’ll explore the experiences and patterns shaping your life while developing practical tools for greater clarity, confidence, and connection.
How I work:
Lasting change grows from understanding, honest connection, and purposeful action.
Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and practical. We’ll explore the experiences, emotions, and patterns shaping your life while identifying concrete steps that move you toward what matters most.
I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and person-centered approaches, tailoring our work to your needs and goals. If faith or spirituality is important to you, we can include it in therapy.
Therapy with me is…
-
We’ll look beneath the surface to understand the experiences, emotions, and patterns influencing your life. Greater self-understanding can help you respond with more awareness and intention.
-
You bring knowledge of your life; I bring clinical training and an outside perspective. We’ll work together to identify your goals and shape therapy around what matters most to you.
-
Insight matters, but therapy also needs to connect with everyday life. We’ll identify realistic steps and useful strategies that help you handle challenges and move toward meaningful change.
