Connected Path Counseling offers in-person appointments in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area. Online therapy is also available to clients located anywhere in Pennsylvania.

Yes. Secure telehealth appointments are available throughout Pennsylvania. You must be physically located in Pennsylvania at the time of your appointment. Online therapy offers the same focused, confidential support as an in-person session from a private location that is convenient for you.

I provide individual therapy for adults and teenagers age 14 and older. Although I specialize in working with men, my practice welcomes clients of all genders who feel that my experience and approach fit their needs.

I help clients address anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, unhealthy coping patterns, questions of identity or purpose, and feelings of disconnection or dissatisfaction. We can discuss your particular concerns during the free consultation to determine whether I may be a good fit.

The free 15-minute phone consultation gives you an opportunity to briefly share what brings you to therapy, ask questions, and learn more about my approach. We can also discuss scheduling, insurance or self-pay options, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit. There is no pressure or obligation to schedule an appointment.

The first appointment is an opportunity for me to learn more about you, what has been happening, and what you hope will change. We will discuss your history, current concerns, strengths, and goals for therapy. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say before arriving.

Individual therapy appointments are approximately 53 minutes long. The initial intake appointment is also approximately 53 minutes.

Most clients begin by meeting weekly so that we can build momentum and establish a consistent therapeutic process. Depending on your needs, goals, insurance coverage, and progress, we may later decide that meeting less frequently is appropriate.

The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some clients seek support for a specific concern or transition, while others want to explore longer-standing patterns. We will regularly review your goals and progress so that therapy remains purposeful and relevant to your needs.

My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to the individual. We will work to understand the thoughts, emotions, experiences, and patterns contributing to your current difficulties while developing healthier ways to respond. Depending on your needs, I may draw from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-informed approaches.

Yes, when requested. My background includes training in both clinical psychology and ministry, allowing me to thoughtfully incorporate a client’s faith, values, or spiritual concerns into therapy. Your beliefs will be respected whether or not religion is part of our work.

Yes. Protecting your privacy is an important part of therapy. Information shared in sessions is generally confidential, with limited exceptions required by law or necessary for safety. These exceptions and the limits of confidentiality will be reviewed with you during the intake process.
