Therapy for adults and teens in Harrisburg and across Pennsylvania
Find a better path forward.
You’re feeling unanchored, searching for a sense of purpose & direction.
From the outside, you may appear capable and in control. Inside, anxiety, depression, relationship strain, or a major life transition may leave you feeling discouraged, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next. You may have tried working harder, staying busy, or distracting yourself, but the relief never seems to last. Therapy offers a place to understand what is keeping you stuck and begin moving toward a life that feels more intentional, connected, and meaningful.
You feel like you are…
Going through the motions while feeling disconnected from yourself or the people closest to you.
Overthinking decisions, expecting the worst, or struggling to quiet your mind.
Feeling down on yourself, unmotivated, or dissatisfied—even when life appears fine from the outside.
Keeping busy or turning to distractions while questions about your direction, relationships, purpose, or faith remain unresolved.
Together, we’ll create a path toward greater clarity, connection, and purpose. Never alone.
Hi, I’m Dave.
You are worthy of compassion and healing, and I'm here help.
I’m David Gordon, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I help adults and teens understand the patterns keeping them stuck, work through difficult emotions, and make choices that reflect who they want to become.
My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. With graduate training in clinical psychology and theology, I can also make room for questions of meaning, purpose, or faith when they are important to you. You won’t receive judgment or easy answers—just thoughtful support as we work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Areas of Focus…
-
When your mind rarely slows down, even ordinary decisions can feel exhausting. Therapy can help you understand what drives the worry, respond differently to uncertainty, and become more present in your life.
-
Depression can appear as sadness, emptiness, irritability, low motivation, or losing interest in things that once mattered. Together, we can identify patterns that keep you withdrawn and begin rebuilding energy, connection, and self-respect.
-
Many men learn to carry stress quietly, solve problems alone, or disconnect from difficult emotions. Counseling provides a practical, nonjudgmental place to address relationships, anger, avoidance, identity, self-worth, and direction.
-
Alcohol, drugs, pornography, gaming, or other compulsive behaviors can provide temporary relief while gradually affecting your health, relationships, self-respect, and sense of control. Counseling can help you understand what drives these patterns, develop healthier ways of coping, and make changes that reflect the life you want to live.
-
Expected and unexpected changes in work, relationships, health, identity, or family life can leave you feeling unsettled and unsure of what comes next. Therapy can help you process what is changing, clarify what matters now, and approach your next chapter with greater confidence and intention.
-
Conflict, emotional distance, resentment, trust concerns, or difficulty expressing your needs can leave relationships feeling exhausting or lonely. Therapy can help you recognize recurring patterns, communicate more clearly, establish healthier boundaries, and develop more meaningful ways of connecting.
-
Questions about identity, purpose, values, faith, or doubt can emerge during difficult seasons—or when life appears successful but still feels unfulfilling. Counseling provides room to explore these deeper concerns honestly. A faith-based perspective can be included when it is meaningful to you, but no religious belief or background is required.
